I send you all warm wishes of a great holiday season to you all!

In an effort to continue to bring my customers the very best product, I redesigned the Velcro portion of the fastener on my Danny Ties last year. This came about due to the excellent feedback from my valued customers. As you all know, this is a big concern for any tie. As a manufacturer, we must consider many factors to come up with the best way to attach the strap to the body of the trach tie.

Of course, the most important for all of you is that the strap stay attached! I must also consider the application of the tie because you as the customer want to be able to put it on quickly and hassle free. I found that when I REMOVED the tie, it was also important to be able to remove it quickly and hassle free because my son was usually STRESSED during this time...and so was I (or my nurses).

Therefore, my new design for the fastener is a funny looking and fat shape of Velcro. It has a skinny tip that fits through the eyelet of the trach tube easily (without any cutting) and extends through so you can grab the tip and pull the rest of the piece through the eyelet. The shape allows the fatter section to curl and pull through without too much effort and then uncurl to give a much larger Velcro fastener.

This larger fastener will stick better and last longer and I am confident that it will provide all of you with a better Danny Tie.

You will begin to see these new Danny Ties with the improved fastener very soon as the medium sized Danny Ties are now shipping to suppliers. The small size of Danny Ties will probably start shipping to suppliers in a few months with the large Danny Ties shipping sometime later in the year.

I hope this effort will make all of you using my Danny Ties happy with the resulting product and I look forward to your feedback. I will post some pictures and possibly some instruction regarding this change very soon.

My Best to all of you and thank you so much for your support...I hope my Danny Ties are "making a difference" with your child/patient.
